The Train from Hanoi to Da Nang

A few days ago we went on a train from Hanoi to Da Nang City, Vietnam.  When we got on, the cabin was smaller than I expected – it had two bunk beds with three stories (3 bunks) on each side.

Firstly we had to find a place to put our bags, then we settled in and went to sleep – it was evening when we got on to the train.

The next day we got up, got dressed and had disgusting boiled corn for breakfast!  Luckily mum packed some nice snacks which we ate while looking out at the Vietnamese view from our cabin window.  Once in a while it would go pitch black because we had gone through a tunnel!

When we got off the train we had to wait for another train to leave the station so we could cross the train track.  We got a taxi to our hotel and had a rest.

It took 16 and half hours to get to Da Nang.
