Lease Our House For 12 Months

By on Mar 30, 2014 in Daily Video, house lease, rent our house, Tasmanian House | 4 comments

We’re leaving our big house for 12+ months (from July 2014) & we need you to lease it.
20 acres, 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (and an ensuite), 1.5 kitchens, office space, dinning room, views of the Tamar River etc. 20 minutes outside of Launceston, Tasmania.

Our house needs a little work, some of which we will do in the next few months, but otherwise it is a very relaxed “non-fussy” place that just needs a family (maybe even a couple of pets) to hang out in it for at least 12 months while we are away.

You will be able to move in July 2014 and stay until at least August/September 2015 – we would need you to sign a 1 year lease.

The house will be unfurnished as we’re moving all our stuff into a container (and hopefully getting rid of a lot of things we don’t need!).  The original part of the house has double glazing and there are 2 wood-fires at either end of the house, that keep us toasty in winter (we plan to leave plenty of wood in the wood shed) – we’ve found not having a heat pump has kept our power bill down 🙂

The house lends its self to a large or extended family, with a second small kitchen and bedroom with an ensuite and external door.  There are loads of possibilities for those interested in hanging out in our bit of paradise for a year!

All this for just $375.00 a week!

For anyone willing to watch our 4 year old family friendly Border Collie, Tiger we will look favourably on your application 🙂 – just let us know in your application.  You can see what an awesome dog Tiger is in this video -> click here for the video on Tiger.

Email: if you are interested – we would love to hear from you!

and/Or complete the google form below to apply to lease our house.

Hi there! Was looking for house rentals, and came across your website! All I can say is WOW, and how envious I am! Have subscribed, and I look forward to living vicariously through your adventures. We have plans to take our 12 kids (half of them have left home already) on the Camino de Santiago in about 2 or 3 years.. 800kms walk? No probs! Absolutely love what you’re doing, and excited for you. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Jeannie

Thanks Jennie, we’re super excited too – mind you I’m looking forward to actually leaving, we’re getting a bit sick of living amongst a heap of boxes!
wow, 12 kids! Most people think my 5 is big! We also have 2 that have left home.

I too would like to do the Camino (my mother-in-law has done a part of it).
Don’t think of it as 800kms, just bite sizes of about 20k a day 😉

Did we mention there is a big water slide cut into the side of the hill that just needs new black plastic each year?

Plus it can be seen on Google Earth! 🙂

I am in absolute awe of this property, and slightly envious of your adventure. But the prospect of a new much bigger adventure for my family is an exciting one 🙂 my application has been completed and I eagerly wait your response. I forgot to mention in the application about Tiger, we love fur-babies and would be more than happy to tiger-sit ^_^ we look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Leasa, Shana and family 🙂
